I wore this to a gala last weekend and got so many compliments on the detachable shoulder strap with those dramatic floral appliques; they really pop under the lights. The ruched Basque waist held everything in place perfectly without feeling too tight.

I was a little unsure about the detachable strap at first, but the floral appliqués are so intricate and well-made that it completely elevates the whole dress. The Basque waist gives it a really nice, tailored shape without feeling tight.
